BIT starts internal testing for Hong Kong stock trading, sets Oct. 12 launch
BIT said its Hong Kong stock trading service has entered internal testing and will move into an invitation-only public beta on Oct. 5 before opening for trading on Oct. 12. Users will be able to trade directly with stablecoins. In the first phase, the service will cover all stocks listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board and GEM, along with IPO subscriptions and margin trading. The company said Hong Kong and U.S. stock trading will run under the same account structure, allowing existing BIT U.S. stock account holders to activate Hong Kong stock trading directly. During the public beta and through the first month after the official launch, ending Nov. 11, users will receive incentives including zero-commission trading, zero interest and zero subscription fees for margin IPO subscriptions, a HK$100 Hong Kong stock platform fee voucher, and an L2 market data card. Elio Cui, head of BIT’s brokerage business, said the launch gives clients a more complete cross-market investment tool and supports allocation across U.S. stocks, Hong Kong stocks, and digital assets through one account.
